Artist Bio:
Phoebe Davis-Brookes is a documentary photographer currently based in the UK. Working both with analogue and digital based processes, Davis-Brookes uses her photography to show the world through her eyes, focusing on individuality within herself and views she holds. Taking a concept-based approach, her work speaks upon historically political matters personal to her hometown, as well as environmental concerns within the photographic world.
Soon to be graduating from Arts University Bournemouth, Davis-Brookes had her most recent project, 'Anything Not Saved Will Be Lost', exhibited at Boscombe Arts Depot, Bournemouth with Aberrations Collective. This project focuses on the declining pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent and the need for its historical & cultural importance being preserved for future generations. Davis-Brookes has also exhibited in The Avenue, Bournemouth with her project 'movement of waves', and is soon to exhibit at Copeland Gallery, London in 2025.
Continuing to use her practice as a personal document of events important to her, Davis-Brookes challenges political decision-making and presents public concerns parallel to her own.
