Artist Bio:
Khushi Upadhyay is an artist working between the UK and India. She works predominantly with black-and-white analogue photographic processes, illuminating textures, details and overlooked spaces in the urban environment. Upadhyay uses gelatine silver processes due to the tactile nature of the medium.
Upadhyay is interested in the way we perceive and experience the world. She uses these urban spaces as allegories into the human perception by drawing attention to the materials and details present of the surfaces she photographs.
Her current project titled Limits and Limitations deals with the human inability to sense our world fully.
Khushi’s work has been exhibited at The Gallery, The Avenue, Bournemouth and The BAD Space, Bournemouth. She also has an Upcoming exhibition with the Aberrations collective at Copland Gallery London.
